And I thought..

10 07 2011

The song I sang at my wedding.  Written while on holiday in January 2003, travelling between Ushuaia and Punto Arenas in Chile and thinking of Mer, who I had just started going out with before the holidays started.

I saw the Starship Enterprise in the clouds tonight

It was moving kind of slow and something wasn’t right

So I looked on up into the clouds and found the moon

And like it always does

It made me think of you

And I thought…

I love you more than anything else in this beautiful world

I love you more than I could ever put into words

I love you louder than I could ever sing this song

And I love you deeper than the deepest river runs

And I thought…

I love you Mer and you love me

And that’s the way it’s supposed to be

I love you Mer and you love me

And that’s the way it’s supposed to be

I love you Mer and you love me

And that’s the way it’s supposed to be

I love you Mer and you love me…

I crossed a bridge today and I think it changed my life

I went from being alone to wanting you as my wife

So I looked on up into the clouds and found the moon

And like it always will it made me think of you

And I thought…

I love you more than anything else in this crazy world

I love you more than I could ever say with words

I love you louder than I could ever sing this song

And I love you better than is the man that I’ve become

And I thought…

I love you Mer and you love me

And that’s the way it’s supposed to be

I love you Mer and you love me

And that’s the way it’s supposed to be

I love you Mer and you love me

And that’s the way it’s supposed to be

I love you Mer and you love me

And I’ll love you for eternity

Yeah Yeah Yeah

Yeah Yeah Yeah

Yeah
